Mr. Onkar Kanwar
Chairman and Non-Executive Director
Onkar Kanwar is the Chairman of Apollo Tyres Ltd., one of largest
automotive tyre manufacturer in India. As a visionary entrepreneur, he plays a
pivotal role in the company's operations and the articulation of its business
philosophy.
Modernisation, excellence and quality are his guiding principles, which
have steered Apollo Tyres to become a leader in the Indian market by
implementing several pioneering initiatives in the spheres of product,
marketing, R&D and manufacturing. Registered in 1976, Apollo Tyres under his
guidance transformed itself from an Indian manufacturer of commercial vehicles tyres, to a global entity with a
full-fledged product portfolio, spanning 3 continents.
Onkar Kanwar has a keen interest in the field of education and
healthcare. He is the chief architect of the Company’s vision and value-driven business
strategy. The first state-of-the-art, super speciality hospital, Artemis
Hospitals, was introduced in Gurgaon, India. Artemis Hospitals’ mission is to
revolutionize healthcare by providing a patient-centric ecosystem where
advanced technology, compassionate care, and medical excellence come together
to offer the best outcomes for every individual.
As a business leader, Onkar Kanwar has been closely associated with
leading national and international industry organisations. He is the Past
President of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
(FICCI), former Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers’ Association and
was a Member of the Board of Governors for the Indian Institute of Management
(Kozhikode). Currently, he is the Chairman of the BRICS Business Council,
India.
A Science and Administration graduate from the University of California,
Onkar Kanwar is a widely travelled individual. He devotes a large part of his
time to reading and is passionate about learning modern management practices
and their successful application in business.
He has been conferred with ‘Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
award - Manufacturing’ for the year 2012. He has been awarded with Hungarian
‘Order of Merit’, and Government of Japan’s ‘Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver
Star’.
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand
Non-Executive Director
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand is the executive director of CIAEL Singapore, a subsidiary of CATL India. CIAEL is part of the USD 2.8 billion Apollo Tyres Group which is engaged in the supply of tubes, bladders and equipment for the tyre industry in India and overseas.
In addition, Ms. Shalini is adept and experienced in working in the hospital & healthcare industry. She is proficient and vastly accomplished in multifarious functions of running a business-Negotiation, Business Planning, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Planning Business Development and Team Building.
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand was involved in refining and upgrading the Raunak Public School and the Apollo International School in Gurgaon, India.
She is the Founder and Chairperson of Pristine International Holdings Pte Ltd. Pristine International Holdings Pte Ltd is a SME investment company. The company minutely looks into the business opportunities with a holistic view to widen the entrepreneurial base. This is done by providing start up and business expansion capital for setting up futuristic conscious businesses. The firm also makes investments in global real estate.
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand graduated from the University of Delhi and pursued her Master’s Degree specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from the Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. She propelled forward in her educational journey with several courses from the Academy of Human Development Singapore in association with Edith Cohen and is consummate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Apart from CBT she is well versed with a range of therapies like solution focus therapy, suicide assessment and intervention, emotional focus therapy, understanding and supporting students with learning difficulties and dealing with grief and losses. This made her delve further into counselling from 2008-2010 in Singapore namely at the National Kidney Foundation Children’s Kidney Centre, National University Children’s Medical Institute, the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Foundation, Nightingale Nursing Homes, Henderson Home for the Aged and various community centres in Singapore.
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand attended the Harvard Business School where she completed a course designed especially for female professionals. A New Path: Setting New Professional Directions. The program was designed to assist women at various levels in their careers in diverse industries as well as to assess and reshape their goals, both personal and professional, by examining their interests, skills, talents and motivations.
Ms. Shalini Kanwar Chand also completed a London Business School Spouse/Partners Leaders as Entrepreneurs' Programme course which offered her to tap into and strengthen her own inherent entrepreneurial instincts and leadership qualities. This helped hone her inherent talent to lead all the different kinds of organizations that she is deeply involved in.
Mr. Neeraj Singh Kanwar

Mr. Neeraj Kanwar is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Apollo Tyres. He began his career with Apollo Tyres as Manager, Product & Strategic Planning, where he played a crucial role in creating a bridge between the two key functions of manufacturing and marketing. In 1998, he joined the Board of Directors and was promoted to Chief, Manufacturing and Strategic Planning. His people management skills helped him bring overarching changes in industrial relations, upgradation of technology and benchmarking on product and efficiency parameters.
As a business leader, Neeraj Kanwar is associated with leading industry associations and was recently the Chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturer’s Association, India. Neeraj Kanwar is a people-centric leader and believes in empowering employees to enable them to undertake effective and efficient decisions at all times. He is known for his affable management style, and combine work with liberal doses of fun.
Dr. Devlina Chakravarty
Managing Director
Dr. Devlina Chakravarty started her career in 1993 as a radiologist trained from Mumbai University. She did fellowships/ preceptorship programmes from University of Berlin (Germany), UCLA (Los Angeles) and Brigham & Women (Boston) in Head and Neck & Body Imaging. She worked as senior faculty and Programme Director in Radiology in different reputed hospitals in Delhi before joining Artemis in 2007. She strongly believes in ethical practices in healthcare and quality of service. She believes private hospitals can make "profits" without "profiteering." She is a process and system driven person and believes strongly in "quality" and "efficiency" in healthcare. Good medical outcomes, patient safety, infection control and antimicrobial resistance are something close to her heart over and above creating great working environments for doctors and all other staff, through a transparent system of management. "Personalized tertiary care" with "service excellence" is her motto. Her dream is to create the most prestigious hospital in India with cutting edge technology, best in class professionals, medical education, ethical and transparent practices.
Dr. Nirmal Kumar Ganguly

Dr. Nirmal
Kumar Ganguly obtained his MBBS from the University of Calcutta, received his
MD from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research,
Chandigarh, and obtained honorary D.Sc. from several Indian Universities.
Dr. Ganguly is
a Distinguished Biotechnology Research Professor at the National Institute of
Immunology, New Delhi. He is also President of the Jawaharlal Institute of Post
Graduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry. Alongwith, He is former
Director General of the Indian Council of Medical Research. He is Fellow of all
the Indian National Science Academies and also Fellow of several international
organizations, including the Royal College of Pathologists (London), the
Imperial College Faculty of Medicine (London), the Third World Academy of
Sciences (Italy), and the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences
(Canada). Dr. Ganguly has won numerous national and International awards and
received the prestigious Padma Bhushan Award in Medicine. He had published over 800 original research papers and mentored over 130 Ph.D. thesis

Vinod Rai

Mr. Vinod Rai
is former Comptroller and Auditor General of India and former Chairman of the
United Nations Panel of External Auditors. He holds Master’s Degrees from
University of Delhi and Harvard University.
Mr. Rai has
held various positions within the Union Government as well as in the State
Government of Kerala. As Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, he served as a
Director on the Boards of State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, Life
Insurance Corporation of India and IDFC. He was appointed as the first Chairman
of the Banks Board Bureau set up by the Indian Government to reform public
banking in India. He was awarded the ‘Padma Bhushan’, third highest civilian
award in the country.
He is a
distinguished visiting research fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies
at the National University of Singapore.
Ms. Pallavi Shardul Shroff

Ms. Pallavi holds a degree in Bachelors of Arts (Eco. Hons) from University of Delhi, Master of Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and LLB from Government Law College, Mumbai. She is a very experienced disputes lawyer with over 43 years of experience. She has represented various domestic and international clients before National Courts, Supreme Court of India, Tribunals and Legal Institutions and has earned national and international acclaim.
Ms. Pallavi is the Managing Partner & National Practice Head, Dispute Resolution of Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. She is an alternate member from India at ICC Court of Arbitrations and was formerly a member of SIAC governing board. She is also on the governing committee of the Mumbai International Arbitration Centre. The Chambers and Partners, 2024 acknowledges her as an “Eminent Practitioner” in the field of Competition/ Antitrust Law and Dispute Resolution.
Mr. Akshaykumar Narendrasinhji Chudasama

Mr. Akshay holds a degree in Bachelors of Arts (BA) from St. Xavier’s College (University of Bombay) and LLB from the London School of Economics (University of London), UK. He is enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, and as a Solicitor with the Law Society (England and Wales). He is also enrolled with the Bombay Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association and is a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and Young Presidents’ Organization. He has been practicing law since 1994.
Mr. Akshay is the Managing Partner of ShardulAmarchandMangaldas& Co. and heads the firm’s practice in the Mumbai Region. He has expertise in cross-border M&A and Private Equity across a range of sectors with over 29 years of experience. He was a Partner at AZB & Partners for more than 3 years and thereafter at J. Sagar Associates (JSA) for 10 years.
Ms. Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa

Ms. Deepa Gopalan
Wadhwa has been a distinguished career diplomat who joined the Indian Foreign
Service (IFS) in 1979 and retired in December 2015. A graduate from Madras
University, she has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and a post graduate
degree in English Literature.
She has served as Ambassador of India
to Japan (2012-2015), Qatar (2009-2012) and Sweden (2005-2009). She was
concurrently accredited as Ambassador to Latvia (from Stockholm), and Republic
of the Marshall Islands (from Tokyo). During her career, she has also held
other significant assignments in Geneva, Hong Kong, China, The Netherlands, the
International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Ministry of External Affairs.
In the course of her career spanning
over 36 years, she has handled a wide swathe of issues and subjects related to
India’s relations with key countries such as Pakistan, China, and Japan; participated
in international conferences and negotiations related to climate change,
sustainable development, disarmament and human rights and was instrumental in
the active promotion of India’s economic interests in areas of trade,
technology, investments and energy security during postings in Europe, the GCC
and Japan.
She
is Chairperson of the India-Japan Friendship Forum located in FICCI, member of
Governing Council of the Institute of China Studies and serves as Independent
Director on the Boards of a few companies.
Mr. Sanjib Sen

Mr. Sanjib Sen
is a designated Senior Advocate at Supreme Court of India and has expertise in Constitutional
Law, Corporate and taxation laws, Criminal and Civil laws.
He has taken
part in a wide range of arbitrations as Co-Arbitrator and Counsel. He has been
Arbitrator in several high profile and top notch legal matters. He has
represented top commercial entities in India in various litigation matter.
Presently he is the member of panel of Arbitrators of Indian Council of
Arbitration at FICCI.
Mr. Sen has hundreds of reported judgements in
all leading law journals and actively participates in different forum and
platform to express his view on ongoing legal matter.
Mr. Sunil Tandon

Mr. Sunil Tandon is a Mechanical
Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering (1975 batch) and an MBA with top
honours and a gold medal from FMS (1977 batch), University of Delhi. He started
his career with Engineers India Ltd. a premier Engineering design consultancy,
where he had the opportunity of working with International Engineering design
companies like Toyo, Snam Progetti etc.
Thereafter, Mr. Sunil Tandon had
changed over to commercial aspects of business, including Purchase &
Project exports at Ballarpur Industries Ltd, followed by a stint as Executive
Asstt. to Vice Chairman at Modi Alkalies & Chemicals with exposure to
diverse functions.
Mr. Sunil Tandon worked at Apollo
Tyres, heading the Purchase & Export functions. This was followed by a migration
to Apollo International, a part of Apollo Tyres group, formed to diversify
across businesses & geographies.
Later, he started an entrepreneurial venture,
engaged in export of Industrial & Agri tyres.
