Dr.
Rohit Lamba is a fellowship trained orthopaedic
surgeon with 20 years of experience in the field having core interest in joint
preservation procedures and salvage of failed or infected joint replacements.
He has been trained at the reputed Christian
Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana which is the premier referral centre
for North India. After his Masters in Orthopaedics conferred in 2008, he did
his senior residency from Delhi Government hospitals with the largest amounts
of trauma case load, thus further polishing his skills at the same.
He
developed an interest in knee and shoulder arthroscopic procedures and sports
injuries as well as complex joint replacements of hips and knees. He worked in
the arthroplasty and arthroscopy unit at Fortis
Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon from 2013 to 2016. Thereafter, worked
at W-Pratiksha hospital, Gurgaon
from 2016 to 2020, where he handled more than 100 joint replacement procedures
of varying complexities every month, thus giving him immense experience in the field.
For the past 5 years he has learned the nuances of Computer navigated hip and
knee joint replacements with Stryker
NAV-3 computer navigation system. He had been handling the arthroplasty an
arthroscopy unit at C K Birla hospital, Gurgaon. He has been heading the
department of orthopaedics at Sanar International hospital, Gurgaon until
recently. He has harnessed a rich experience of more than 8000 joint
replacements and more than 3000 arthroscopic procedures into developing an advanced
practice of high end orthopaedic surgeries.
The
pursuit of furthering cutting edge skills in the field of arthroplasty and
arthroscopy have taken him around the world. He did his observership in Hip
arthroscopy at Princess Alexandra
hospital, Harlow, UK in 2017 with renowned hip surgeon Dr Satish Kutty. He
further honed his skills in hip preservation procedures at the University Hospital Infanta Leonor, Madrid,
Spain in 2019 under Dr Oliver Marin Pena who is a dynamic hip surgeon with
extensive research experience. He has also collaborated with him in writing a
book chapter in the book 'Hip Preservation Surgery' published by ESSKA. He has
been trained at the world renowned Helios
Endoklinik, Hamburg, Germany, which is the highest volume joint replacement
centre in the world performing more than 8000 surgeries every year. There he
was trained in the special technique of single stage revision of infected joint
replacements. He has also undertaken a computer navigated joint replacement fellowship
at the famous Laud clinic in Mumbai,
where the joint replacements were pioneered in India. He continues to expand his skills
and knowledge in order to offer his patients the very best with all humility.
He has
catered to international patients from all across the globe. He has been
actively providing clinical OPD services to patients from Iraq, Uzbekistan,
Tajikistan and South Sudan.
