Brief Profile:
Dr. Gaurav Dixit completed his MBBS and MD in General
medicine from PGIMS
Rohtak in 2008.
After completing his senior residency
in General Medicine,
he joined the department of Clinical Hematology at AIIMS Delhi
in 2011, and from there,
he picked up an interest
in the study and treatment of blood disorders. In 2012, he
joined CMC Vellore, which has one of the best
hematology departments in the country,
for his DM degree.
He joins Artemis Hospital after
working for 4 years each in Max Hospital, Shalimar
Bagh and Action
Cancer Hospital. He was instrumental in setting up a bone marrow transplant program in both centers.In
2020, he
was awarded the professional certificate in
multiple myeloma by Mayo Clinic,
U.S.A
He possesses great clinical acumen and scientific
insight. He is well-versed with the latest developments
in the field of hematology and always follows set international guidelines for treating his patients. Due to his
exceptional understanding of Hemato-Oncology, he holds a special place in the field.
His teaching skills
have been an asset to the department, wherever he has served. His special interests
are leukemia, myeloma,
lymphoma, and aplastic
anemia. As a member of various organizations, in India and abroad, Dr. Gaurav is always willing
to interact, learn and help. He has performed First
Bone Marrow Transplant in Kenya in Oct 2022,
successfully.
