Brief Profile:
Dr. Sushant Mishra is a compassionate and dedicated
cardiologist who is committed to providing the highest quality of care to his patients. Trained at apex institutions, Dr. Sushant during his medicine residency at PGI Chandigarh gained remarkable experience in treating both communicable and non-communicable diseases. He participated in various national and international level conferences and was a part of clinical research which was published in international journals. After rigorous training in cardiology at the ‘Advanced Cardiac Centre’ PGIMER, he was inspired to go into the field of cardiac interventions.
He then continued his super-specialty ( DM Cardiology) training at the most prestigious institute, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. During his residency, he was able to provide superior care and consultation that resulted in an overall improvement in patient care. He was trained in various adult and paediatric interventions. He was a part of the team involved in the first Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement ( TAVR ) at AIIMS, New Delhi. He was also involved in research related to CRT-D device implantation during his residency.
After completing his senior residency, he practiced as a consultant cardiology at various elite organisations in Delhi-NCR and Haryana.
During his tenure at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, he performed several complex coronary interventions and peripheral interventions like TEVAR, Carotid, Renal, and SVC stenting. He also gained expertise in CHIP-CTO, zero contrast, low, and ultra-low contrast, and image-guided ( IVUS, OCT ) interventions at Meditrina Hospital (Kollam, Kerala), operable at various Civil Hospitals in Haryana. Dr. Sushant has worked as a consultant cardiology at Park ( Metro ) hospital, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, and has provided support as visiting faculty at its Patiala( Punjab) , Behrod( Rajasthan) branches.
Dr. Mishra has various publications in both national and international journals and has contributed to numerous chapters in multiple standard textbooks including chapters on renal artery stenting, interventions in peripheral vascular disease, Role of SGLT2i in Heart failure and stroke with PVD.
